Euphoria & Beyond at The Empty Quarter

Experience Steve Sabellaís journey through intellectual maturation and shifting psychological states as The Empty Quarter gallery unveils this artistís photographic expedition in Euphoria & Beyond. This exhibit, Sabellaís very first in Dubai, opens May 2nd, 7 to 10 pm.

A photomontage of hundreds of fragments of trees, Euphoria is transcendence into the divine that is nature. It reflects Sabellaís retreat into introspection and interrogation, a journey that had him question his beliefs and everything in his reality. Created when the Arab world was going through all these dramatic changes, it expresses a moving freedom, a pulsating energy… a hint of limitless possibilities.

Sabella is an artist based in London and Berlin. His artworks have been collected by the British Museum in London, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha and leading collectors in the Middle East. He is the holder of the Ellen Auerbach Award (2008) granted by the Akademie der K¸nste (Academy of the Arts) in Berlin, where he is currently working to publish his first art book with them.
