Karl Lagerfeld Designs for Orrefors
Design Coca Cola bottles and Volkswagen cars, direct TV commercials for Magnum, create perfumes, publish Nietzsche… is there anything Karl Lagerfeld hasn’t done?
Apparently, there is.
But like a dying man ticking off his Bucket List, he’s on it.
After exploring a wide array of areas in the art & fashion field, most notably as Chanel’s head designer and creative director, Lagerfeld has now tied up with Orrefors, a Swedish glass company known to grace the tables of the Swedish Royal Palace, to design a series of drinkware plus a few vases and bowls.
The glasses, which will come in black, milky white and clear crystal, will be hand-blown and engraved with the designer’s initials— a touch of his magic.
